Do you think animals have souls?

Yes. I think a soul is just an essence of a physical being.

Have many times have you been in love?

Don't really know enough about them to say either way.

Perhaps you can enlighten me?

I don’t really know about anything other than my own 🤣 but I find looking up the personality traits of my star sign quite interesting and oddly accurate.

What’s a skill you wish you had?

I've noticed that too. I have a lot of the virgo traits.

I wish I could sing. I would love to be a professional singer. I sing like a motherfucker but I wish I had actual talent.

Same question for you.

I wish I could comprehend mathematics in normal terms. Sadly, I have dyscalculia so my brain simply cannot process numbers like other peoples' can.

If Pokémon were real, would you want to catch one?

The age of Stone Henge so I could get the real answer on how it was built.

What’s most important to you when you read poetry?

I want to feel the authors intention. I want to know that it is written from a real place. I find myself put off by abstract poetry or tons of metaphors. I want to get straight to the meat. I always remove the garnish before I eat a steak.

Good question so let's stick with it

I ask myself three things when reading a poem -

Is it real?
Does it have voice?
Is it eloquent?

You can tell when something is real. When it’s come out of a person from somewhere deep inside of themselves. If there’s weight behind it.

Does it have voice - does it say something? Does it cloud itself in a faffy stream of adjectives plucked straight from the thesaurus, or does it really get to the meat of the matter?

Is it eloquent - just that. Has it said something complicated or heavy in an effective way. Does it reflect the style of the writer?

It’s never let me down yet.

Who is your favourite poet? (As in published poet)
