Poems about Clouds
#clouds
Cloud poems, here you'll find poems about clouds, from fluffy white clouds in a bright sunny sky, to dark grey rain clouds bringing thunderstorms and chaos.
and i drank from that stream
how such
clouds became
headstrong,
but i
heard it
wasn't personal,
somehow
things still
looked lost,
but, the
rage sounded
elegant,
the storm
ran across
the land,
i took
its ambition
very seriously,
but now
we have
made peace,
i listened
to
the waters
crash onto
the banks,
and i
knelt down
beside
and i
drank from
that stream.
clouds became
headstrong,

heard it
wasn't personal,

and i
knelt down
beside
and i

that stream.

mountains that move
the birds on the thresholds,
so dark,
on the edges of the house
picking through the leftovers.
their low-flying flights.
the hooting of birds
that leave the shadows
above us.
the ghostly white birds,
on the chest a red spot,
reciting damned poems.
repeated melodramas
every year that passes.
ungrateful migration.
mountains that move.

on the edges of the house
picking through the leftovers.

approaching storm
i heard
another
approaching
storm
this morning,
the thunder
calling,
the clouds
refilled,
the wind's
conversation
like
swinging arms,
and i
stand at
the edge,
waiting
expecting.

april songs: elements of life 5
april song 15—clouds
clouds would seem, at first, like blindness
charged with weather-borne unkindness;
Yet, with cumulus abounding,
you can find sure-footed grounding,
if with confidence and courage
you embrace the timeless marriage
twixt your laughing and your weeping,
and your waking and your sleeping.
chilling cirrus clouds bring shivers,
as cold-shoulder hate delivers
to the peasant in his groaning,
nought for pity grace atoning.
nimbus-stratus cloud commotion
carries oft the faulty notion ...

floating stream
i want
to make
a connection
with that
floating stream,
that surface
and stages,
all plump
and
well fed,
the rains
repeating
certain themes,
some desire
and restraint,
to feel less
of a victim,
more of
a villain,
to drown
what lays
in its
destination..

Ironia
Sun glossed white puffed sky.
Ironic imaginings.
Poised to darkly die.

waiting for the rain to stop...maybe
the rain
was here,
not here,
it came
tickling in,
leaving
laughter
everywhere,
i waited
inside,
trying
to decide
what i
should do,
i went
out and
jumped around
in the
discussions
the storm
made,
rain drips
down
my head,
my shoulders,
down
my chest,
lingering at
my waistline,
stopping
to gather
their breath,
each drop
made
a race
down
my legs,
...

East of The Sun
Sailing through the bluest skies
were the towering clouds of spring,
as if they were a ketch that flies
or kites upon a lengthy string!
And sure the breeze was fresh and true
at play through every leafing tree
offset against that sunset blue,
and birds in busybody glee!
That sundown was approaching fast
and the clouds were scattering fleet,
just like a squadron at full mast
rigged as white as a ghosting sheet
making way for the newest moon...
now creeping...
into...

i rushed out
i rushed out
to count
each blade
of grass,
to count
each bloom,
to hear
each song
coming from
the counted
trees
in my
vicinity,
to watch
each cloud,
each sparkle
of sunshine,
not trying
to count
these
uncountable
smiles.

A Romance between Junie and I Wasn't Meant to Be
The first time I saw Junie, something ignited love in my heart.
I couldn’t prevent myself from looking at her repeatedly.
Much to my surprise, she was doing the same thing that I was doing.
I guess it might have been what is called love at first sight.
She was in her late teens, and I never wooed a girl half my age.
We spoke to each other many times, but we never talked about love.
Her lust for me and my lust for her clearly showed in our eyes.
I had a feeling that a romance between she and I wouldn’t work.
Junie...

Canonical Hours
So often sought in twilit skies
are the arcane secrets there
when that luminous flux applies
to the billow surge it must share
with lunar lumens at their peak
and stars and planets in the mix
to play a cloudy hide and seek
as if a writhing bag of tricks
ruled the moonrise roost of beams
in threshold vermicelli waves
overlapping cumulous streams
cascading through the freshest graves
to squirm in some composting meat
long past the matins on repeat
for martyrdom at every turn,
in undercroft...or welkin churn!

our world
Our World
This is not a day for clear sky and sun
This is not a day for jubilant spring
This is not a day for summer drizzle
This is not a day for crisp snow
This is not a starlit night
This not a time for love and romance
This is a day of grief and mourning
She gave us a fertile world
What did we do?
We polluted her rivers and sea
We stole her precocious minerals
We befouled her scented air
We lay waste to her forests and land
We killed the fauna
Worst of all, we stole her beauty
This is not a day for clear sky and sun
This is not a day for jubilant spring
This is not a day for summer drizzle
